October 2008
One-day workshop on ritual writing/planning in Sydney. Run by Ostarian Grove, who ran the excellent community contacts workshop in February 2008.
The ritual workshop was well-run & informative.
* The food was fresh, filling and plentiful.
* The exercises were simple and productive.
* Although it was a lot to pack into one day, it was well planned and there was a time-keeper to keep things on track.
* The study buddy system gave good feedback for getting the prep notes right.
* The workbook arriving weeks before the workshop was a particularly good idea in light of the time constraints on the day.
* The restricted numbers also a good idea for the same reasons.
* I learned I’m on the right track with my solitary practice. (Getting to circles is a problem for me as I'm outside Sydney and there are few Neopagans in my area.)
* I have a better undertanding of the ritual as a whole, and of parts within it.
The workshop was well thought-out, well-presented and well worth it.
